An implementation of Conway’s Game of Life
A transparent discovery signal based on current public GitHub metadata.
This score does not audit code, security, maintainers, documentation quality, or suitability. Verify the repository and its current documentation before adoption.
An implementation of Conway’s Game of Life in Elixir. Partially written during a Code Retreat I was facilitating, but not within the “throw your code away after 45 minutes rule!
Models the universe as a set of cells ({x, y} tuples), rather than a grid.
mix test
This starts with a random set of cells, and runs until the state becomes static or, more likely until you get bored. Shows just enough grid to include all current cells, so will probably get bigger as it runs – you might want to reduce your terminal font size!
mix run runner.exs
There’s also a Phoenix LiveView application in a separate project, which imports this project as a dependency and runs the same code but displayed in a browser instead of the terminal.
