This project is a simple serverless API built with AWS CDK and TypeScript, using infrastructure as code to define and deploy cloud resources. It provisions an API Gateway endpoint backed by an AWS Lambda function that returns random inspirational quotes in JSON format.
A transparent discovery signal based on current public GitHub metadata.

The cdk.json file tells the CDK Toolkit how to execute your app.
npm run build compile typescript to jsnpm run watch watch for changes and compilenpm run test perform the jest unit testsnpx cdk deploy deploy this stack to your default AWS account/regionnpx cdk diff compare deployed stack with current statenpx cdk synth emits the synthesized CloudFormation templateAuthenticates you to AWS using the named AWS CLI profile. It opens the AWS Single Sign-On flow so your local machine can get temporary credentials for that account and role.
$ aws sso login --profile profile_name
Shows which AWS identity is currently associated with that profile. It returns details such as the AWS account ID, the user or role ARN, and a unique identifier, which is useful to confirm you authenticated into the correct account before running commands like cdk bootstrap or cdk deploy.
$ aws sts get-caller-identity --profile profile_name
Creates a new directory named cdk-quotes-api and moves your terminal into that new directory so the next commands run inside the project folder.
$ mkdir cdk-quotes-api
$ cd cdk-quotes-api
Initializes a new AWS CDK application in the current directory using TypeScript. It generates the starter project structure, config files, dependencies, and example CDK code so you can begin defining AWS infrastructure as code.
$ cdk init app --language typescript
Prepares your AWS account and selected region for AWS CDK deployments. It creates the resources CDK needs behind the scenes, typically an S3 bucket and related IAM (Identity and Access Management) roles, so later commands like cdk deploy can upload assets and provision your stacks successfully. In AWS, IAM is the service used to control who can access AWS resources and what they are allowed to do. It manages things like:
