Deploying E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Introduction
A web-based application which enables the end user to provision a network architecture on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with a few clicks. The provisioned network and compute resources can be used by teams to deploy and run E-Business Suite on OCI.
Let's take a look at the use case for this demo. The application is built to support an end user who is interested in provisioning a network architecture on OCI with minimal efforts. The user is required to enter the necessary details such as the authentication parameters for the Oracle cloud tenancy & user, desired names for all the OCI resources, CIDR blocks for VCN and subnets through the application front end.
All the details are stored in terraform file as an input and are combined with the configuration files (in the src/backEnd/repo). The terraform configuration files are packaged and sent to Oracle Resource Manager which then executes the stack and provisions resources in the tenancy.
The EBS on OCI Architecture which will be provisioned through our application:
This is an Oracle recommended Multiple Availability Doman architecture for deploying EBS on OCI. the Compute and Database instances are provisioned in 2 different availability domains as per the user's choice in order to ensure high availability for EBS. In addition to taking care of all networking and compute resources such as it also takes into account features such as instance pools and auto scaling which can help the teams to scale their application dynamically as per the requirement.
Install/Run
First clone this repository.
$ git clone https://github.com/adi237/ebs_on_oci.git
After cloning the application, you can run it two ways:
1) Node
This app's frontend is built using javascript, HTML and CSS. Hence, no setup/installation required.
This app's backend is built using Node.js + ExpressJS module available through the npm registry. Therefore, you would have to install the dependencies.
Install dependencies. Make sure you already have nodejs & npm installed in your system.
$ npm install
Run it
$ npm start
2) Docker
Use with Docker http://www.docker.io
$ docker pull adi23792/ebs_on_oci_web_app:1.0
