ROEURY-MC / repository
Build the Visual Studio Code editor through the open source community repository.
IDE-Myhiss acts as a workspace for engineers who want focus and speed. It handles complex code projects while staying out of your way. This software provides a clean environment for writing text and scripts. It integrates with your files to ensure you keep full control over your work.
Your computer needs specific parts to run this software well. Please check your system against this list before you start.
Follow these steps to put the software on your computer.
Launch IDE-Myhiss from your desktop icon or the Windows Start menu. The application opens to a blank screen where you can start your project.
To open a folder, click the File menu at the top left corner of the window. Select Open Folder from the list. Choose the project folder from your computer and click Select Folder. Your files will appear in the sidebar on the left side of the screen.
You can click any file in the sidebar to open it in the main editor area. Use your mouse to click and drag the corners of the window to change its size.
IDE-Myhiss organizes your tools in a way that avoids clutter. The right side of the screen contains settings for your specific project. You can toggle these panels by using the view menu.
If you need to change how the text looks, go to the Settings tab. You can swap between light and dark themes to match your preference. The editor saves your changes as you type, so you do not need to click save constantly.
Find specific text inside your files by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the sidebar. Type your keyword into the box and press Enter. The software lists every file where that word appears. Click a result to jump directly to that line in your document.
The software checks for updates when you start it. If a new version exists, a notification appears at the bottom of the screen. Click the notification to download the update.
If you encounter issues, look for the Issues tab on the project website. Many users find answers to common questions in the existing discussions. Ensure you provide your version number if you choose to report a new problem.
You can move through your files faster by using keyboard shortcuts. The settings menu lists every available command. You can set your own keys for actions like jumping to the next file or closing a panel. Click the shortcut key next to the action and press the new key combination you want to use. Press Enter to confirm the change.
While IDE-Myhiss focuses on keeping things simple, it allows for connections with other tools. Access the plugin library from the menu bar to view available add-ons. Click the Install button next to any item to add it to your environment. These tools help with specific file types or formatting needs. Disable any plugin using the manage menu if you no longer need it.
Your files stay on your computer. IDE-Myhiss does not send your code to external servers. You decide how your information moves. The editor does not track your private habits or your typing patterns. This ensures your projects remain private and secure while you work.
Every file you create belongs to you. You can move these files out of the editor at any time. Right-click any file in your project sidebar and select Reveal in File Explorer. This opens the folder where your file lives on your Windows computer. You can copy, rename, or delete these files exactly as you would with any other document on your machine.
When you visit the download page, you might find different versions labeled as releases. The top release usually holds the latest stable version. We recommend this version for most users. If you want to experiment with new features before everyone else, look for labels marked as Beta. These versions might have minor glitches, but they offer the newest additions to the toolset. Always save your work regularly if you use a beta version.
Keep your project folders organized to remain efficient. Use sub-folders for different parts of your project. Rename files with simple, clear names. Close any folders you are not using to keep the sidebar clean. This practice keeps the software running fast and keeps your workspace clear of distractions. Focus on one task at a time to get the best result from the interface.
