Oxide

This project is still in the earliest days of development

Oxide is a Package Manager based on Nix
Oxide is written in RUST and has a content-addressed store

Short term goals:

• Create an actually usable package collection instead of the "toy" that is being used for testing
• Add support for format expressions e.g. echo "the path of python is {self.python}" now it only supports suffixes e.g. {self.python}/bin/python
• Rewrite every recursive function to a non recursive version to allow this PM to run on embedded systems, and to not pin futures
• Better error messages. With file and line number in debug mode
• Add GC
• Add deamon

Long term goals:

• Add support for multiple platforms. Right now only linux
• Add Binary caches
