Hotel Management System

This is a basic CRUD application for a Hotel Management System built using Java and MySQL. It provides a set of functionalities for managing room bookings.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTION

• This software is built to perform simple CRUD operations and doesnot involves complex functionalities like User authentication to act as an admin.

Prerequisites

• Java Development Kit (JDK)
• Eclipse IDE (or any Java IDE of your choice)
• MySQL database

Setup Instructions

1. Clone the repository to your local machine.
2. Import the project into your Eclipse IDE.
3. Configure the MySQL database settings in the web.xml file.
4. Add the JSTL (JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Library) dependency in the pom.xml file.
5. Run the application from the IDE.

Project Structure

The project has the following structure:

• src: Contains the Java source files.
• WebContent: Contains JSP files and the web.xml configuration file.
• pom.xml: Contains the project configuration and dependencies.

Functionality

The application offers the following functionalities:

1. Book rooms
2. Display booked rooms
3. Edit booking details
4. Cancel bookings

Additional Notes

• Proper exception handling has been implemented using try/except blocks.
• The MySQL database is used to store and manage data.
